Why does new Stu() give an error?
Short answer. Because you wrote a parameterised constructor, so Java no longer supplies the default one.
How do you fix it?
Write a no-argument constructor yourself.

New Stu with empty brackets gives an error. Why? This constructor takes marks, so it is parameterised. Once you write one, Java adds no hidden default. So empty brackets fail. Default takes no parameters. Parameterised takes values.
