Short answer. Yes. Use a slice with a step of -1, like day[::-1].

No. Start is included, but stop is not.

Can you reverse Sunday with no loop? A slice takes start, stop and step. Zero to three gives S U N. A step of two takes every second letter. Minus one reverses it. Start is included. Stop is not. Minus one reverses.
